A cholesterol lowering drug which can effectively reduce the risk of a first heart attack in patients of a moderate risk. This includes all men over 55 and men(45 to 54) and women over 55 who have one or more of the following indicators: Family history of disease in a parent or brother/sister (male below 55, female below 65), a smoker either currently, or within the past 5 years, overweight, of a South Asian origin (i.e. Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani or Sri Lankan). Zocor Heart Pro should be taken in addition to making lifestyle changes e.g. stopping smoking, healthy diet, increased exercise.
Dosage
Adults one tablet in the evening.
Contains
Simvastatin 10mg per tablet.
Cautions
Not suitable for use in children. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking. Consult your doctor before taking if you are taking medicines for blood thinning e.g. Warfarin or other medication. Avoid Grapefruit juice whilst taking this product.
